I bought a MSI B550m Mortar wifi and its not flashing the BIOS after pressing the Flash BIOS button the flash led blinks for 5 secs then remains on constantly and my USB's led stop flashing, i have tried 2 usb's till now, one is a 4gb old one and other is a 32 gb sandisk both formatted to fat 32

Probably the best how-to video on using MSI BIOS flashback. He's got several tips for little details that can make a flash unsuccessful if you get it wrong. He's on a different MSI board but it should work the same for yours. Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button
- Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from the MSI® website.
- Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root of your USB flash drive.
- Connect the power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No need to install CPU and memory.)
- Plug the USB flash drive that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on the rear I/O panel.
- Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED starts flashing.
- The LED will be turned off when the process is completed.
are you sure its not flashing it?

i have flashed b500m mortar wifi for my friend before and it went perfectly, and the light should keep blinking for bout 5-10mins, but in my case the led light was constantly on(not blinking) and also the cpu debug led didn't turn on, so i am confused what is happening.the light stopping sounds rightare you sure its not flashing it?
